WHO ARE WE

We are Selam and Andiy. After Natnael passed away we wanted to continue his task of teaching children about their country of origin and helping families to find their stories.
This blog is to teach the children that go abroad something about their birth country and to give to the adoptive parents a way to search the biological family of their child.

CITY FAUNA

Often people think the city as a place for people and cars, full of concrete and stone.

Here in Addis Ababa there is this and more. Lots of places are full of life, even more than one would expect.

In some of the areas of Addis Ababa, in the middle of buidings and places under construction there is still a great amount of animals to see.

The easier ones are the birds, here in the picture there is a lovebird, an endemic bird of Ethiopia that is not rarely seen in some neighborhoods in the city.

A part of the domestic animals, as cats, dogs, donkeys, goats, sheeps and cows there are amazing other ones that come at night: Hyenas!

Is not that estrange to see them going around even in groups. If you ever come to Addis open your eyes to the hidden things you can find in the city!
